Speakers

Call for Proposals

June 30th was the last day to submit your talk proposals for SeConf14. The presenters have time until July 6th, to update their proposals based on public feedback they receive in the submission system.

REVIEW PROCESS

On July 7th, the submission system will be locked and the core-review team will review all the proposals. We are hoping that by July 18th we should be able to announce a tentative program.

All proposals will be public, however the identity of the proposal submitter will not be revealed. This is to encourage DIVERSITY and to ensure that the selection committee is not biased.

Registered user of the submission system will be able to comment on the proposals. Submitters may also post comments on reviews or public comments of their own proposals to provide clarifications, explain revisions and respond to questions. Again, the comments do not reveal the identity of the person commenting. However the public comments are inputs, which can be utilized by both the submitter and the review team. Ultimately the decision to accept a session resides with the program committee.

Your proposal stands the best chance to be selected, if:

  • * the topic is unique and compelling,
  • * the abstract clearly describes the essence of your session,
  • * you've selected the right theme/category...
(Selenium Internals, Selenium for Mobile, Best Practices or Infrastructure)
  • * your session duration, level and session type is selected appropriately
  • * your proposal clearly highlights the learning outcomes for the attendees
  • * your proposal shows a clear breakup of your session timing

We strongly discourage tool authors from hijacking the conference to pitch their products.

Your tool (commercial or open-source) might have solved a hard problem, that the entire community is facing. We would love to hear about the problem and your technical solution. However please make sure you don't turn this into a marketing talk.

Compensation for speakers

Speakers will be compensated as follows:

60 or 90 minutes session 1 Free Conference Registration + 2 Hotel Night
45 minutes session 1 Free Conference Registration + 1 Hotel Night
< 45 minutes session 1 Free Conference Registration
< 20 minutes No Compensation

Speakers can contact [email protected] for discount code to register for the conference.

Compensation listed above is only for primary speakers. Co-presenters can avail a 25% discount on their registrations. Hotel nights are capped at 3 nights for speakers with multiple accepted sessions. They cannot be accumulated beyond the cap or transferred to another person. Free registrations cannot be accumulated or transferred.
